Nichole Santoro, LAc, EAMP, LMT
Nichole Santoro’s study of the human body has propelled her around the globe. Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Nichole received her BA in Psychology and Religious Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University. While studying toward her degree, Nichole honed her culinary skills in restaurant kitchens, explored the Alaskan wilderness, and began a serious lifelong yoga practice. Walking with her mother through a 3-year cancer battle inspired Nichole to explore natural medicine.
Nichole began her medical studies in the internationally recognized naturopathic program at Bastyr University. After completing two years of doctoral level study in human anatomy, physiology and pathology Nichole turned her focus to Traditional Chinese Medicine. She graduated in 2006 with a Masters in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, which concluded with participating in shifts at the Traditional Chinese Medicine hospital in Chengdu, China. Upon completing Bastyr coursework while abroad, she traveled from Chengdu southward through the Yunnan province of China and then to Thailand before she landed in southern India. There she completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at the Sivananda Ashram in Trivandrum, Kerala. Nichole returned to the Puget Sound with diverse hands-on treatment experience, and a deep appreciation for ancient healing wisdom. She continues to educate herself in the ever growing and advancing fields of acupuncture, herbal medicine, manual therapy and therapeutic yoga. She has practiced acupuncture locally for 12 years, working with chiropractors, naturopaths, physical therapists, and medical doctors for the benefit of patients.
Her career includes working with veteran practitioner Mia Song, EAMP at Jade Spring Wellness Center and helping establish Alpine Integrative Medicine with Dr. Brooke Azie-Rentz, ND on Redmond Ridge. Nichole opened her own private clinic, Good Life Acupuncture and Herbs, in 2015.
Since establishing her private practice, she has completed advanced training and certification in Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Acupuncture with Whitfield Reaves and certified in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). Musculoskeletal health and healing are passions of Nichole and she is inspired to help people get in touch with their body, decipher its signs and achieve improved health as well as a mind-body connection.
When she’s not working patients, Nichole enjoys walking, camping, cooking, yoga and hanging out with family. She lives in Brier, WA with her husband & daughter.
